U.S. President Donald Trump criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee on Friday for awarding the 2026 Peace Prize to South African jurist Navanethem "Navi" Pillay and reposted a message portraying her as an opponent of the United States and Israel.
Voilà l'homme tout entier, s'en prenant à sa chaussure alors que c'est son pied le coupable. Ca devient inquiétant. Un des larrons fut sauvé. C'est un pourcentage honnête.

Ukraine: UN report shows rising civilian deaths, ongoing rights abuses
UN, 29 August 2014 – Intense fighting, including the use of heavy
weaponry by both sides, in densely populated areas of eastern Ukraine,
has increased the loss of civilian life, with an average of around 36
people being killed every day, says a new report issued today by the United Nations human rights office.
The report, produced by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and covers the period from 16 July to 17 August, expresses dismay at the killing and wounding of civilians who are trapped in urban areas or attempting to flee the fighting in eastern Ukraine using “safe” corridors established by the Government.

UN report on Ukraine whitewashes Kiev authorities responsible for Odessa massacre. - Operations are in line with international standards
Authors of the report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) strive to keep covering for the Kiev authorities, which are responsible for the deaths in Odessa, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Lukashevich, states in his commentary in connection with the publication of the OHCHR report on the situation with human rights in Ukraine.
"While covering the tragedy in Odessa on May 2, the authors of the report showed a more objective approach than in the last similar document," the commentary says. "However, we have to admit that the authors still strive to shield the Kiev authorities, their supporters and the law enforcement bodies, which are responsible for the deaths of dozens of innocent people."

Iraq: Pillay warns of “acute vulnerability” of civilians caught in cross-fire, targeted in attacks or trapped in ISIL-controlled areas
GENEVA (13 June 2014) – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay on Friday expressed extreme alarm at the dramatic deterioration of the situation in Iraq, amid reports of summary executions and extrajudicial killings, and the massive displacement of some half a million people, as the forces allied with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS), overran a succession of major towns and cities earlier in the week.

Ukraine: senior UN official decry use of excessive force as protests intensify
20 February 2014 – As the casualties mount in and around crisis-riven Kiev, so have the calls for restraint from senior United Nations officials, who today once again urged the authorities in Ukraine to exercise restraint amidst a fiery stand-off with anti-Government protestors.
“I continue to strongly appeal to all involved to cease the violence, and for the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from excessive use of force,” Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said speaking to reporters at UN Headquarters in New York.
“I am appalled by the use of firearms by both the police and protesters,” stressed Mr. Ban, who has been in contact with President Viktor Yanukovych. “I urge all parties to immediately resume a genuine dialogue.”

Rising number of mass executions may amount to war crimes, senior UN official warns
16 January 2014 – The United Nations human rights chief today warned armed opposition groups in Syria that executions and unlawful killings violate international law and may amount to war crimes, as reports continue to emerge of mass executions in the northern part of the strife-torn nation.
The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said in a news release that it has received reports in the past two weeks of a succession of mass executions of civilians and fighters who were no longer participating in hostilities in Aleppo, Idlib and Raqqa by hardline armed opposition groups in Syria, in particular by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
