Αλβανοί, από το νότιο τμήμα της Κόσοβσκα Μιτρόβιτσα πραγματοποίησαν συγκέντρωση διαμαρτυρίας κατά του «Πάρκου Ειρήνης» που δημιουργήθηκε από Σέρβους του βορείου Κοσόβου πριν από μερικές μέρες στην κεντρική γέφυρα του ποταμού Ίμπαρ, αφού προηγήθηκε η απομάκρυνση οδοφράγματος από μπετόν που είχαν στήσει.

Serbs denied visit to Djakovica on Good Friday. -The Serbs who were forced out of Djakovica were also denied a visit on Christmas Eve

BELGRADE - Serbs who were driven out of the region of Djakovica, southwestern Kosovo, issued on Thursday a protest to the authorities in Pristina not being allowed to visit their town and properties on Good Friday.

"The Serbs from the Djakovica region are resentful of the institution in Pristina, EULEX and KFOR for being unable to ensure safety for 120 Serbs who properly filed a request to visit their town on Good Friday," President of the Association of Djakovica Citizens Djokica Stanojevic said on Thursday.

Δημοτικές εκλογές με αποχή και επεισόδια στο Κόσοβο. -Το ποσοστό συμμετοχής στις σερβικές ζώνες δεν ξεπερνούσε το 13%.

Βιαιότητες χαρακτήρισαν τις δημοτικές εκλογές που διεξήχθησαν την Κυριακή στο Κόσοβο, ιδιαίτερα στην Κόσοβσκα Μιτρόβιτσα, την κύρια πόλη του βορείου Κοσόβου, όπου η ψηφοφορία διακόπηκε. Επιπλέον το πολύ χαμηλό ποσοστό συμμετοχής που καταγράφηκε στις σερβικές ζώνες θέτει υπό αμφισβήτηση την εγκυρότητα της ψηφοφορίας. Οι εκλογές θεωρούνταν τεστ για την εφαρμογή της συμφωνίας εξομάλυνσης των σχέσεων μεταξύ Βελιγραδίου και Πρίστινας που συνήφθη τον περασμένο Απρίλιο στις Βρυξέλλες υπό την αιγίδα της ΕΕ. 

Στις κάλπες κλήθηκαν 1.779.357 ψηφοφόροι για να εκλέξουν τους εκπροσώπους τους στην τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση μεταξύ 102 κομμάτων και ενώσεων που διεκδικούσαν τον έλεγχο 36 δήμων του Κοσόβου. Για πρώτη φορά από το 2000 διεξήχθησαν εκλογές σε ολόκληρη την επικράτεια την ίδια ημέρα, δηλαδή και στις περιοχές όπου ο σερβικός πληθυσμός αποτελεί πλειοψηφία.

The FYROM's Parliament on Monday is expected to confirm the election of three new judges to the Constitutional Court, whose candidacy has been harshly contested by the opposition. ....
After a heated debate last week the ruling parties should give green light for Elena Goseva, Nikola Ivanovski and Sali Murati. The stable majority should make the voting a mere formality.
The three new judges, championed by the centre-right VMRO DPMNE party of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, will take office on June 1, when the nine-year mandate of the current judges, Liljana Inglizova- Ristova, Igor Spirovski and Zoran Sulejmanov, expires.

An 8.6 million euro donation by NATO will be used to upgrade 13 bridges as part of the Macedonian stretch of the European north-south Corridor 10. ...
NATO is donating the money as part of an agreement to repair all the bridges on this stretch that it used during the 1999 Kosovo crisis and afterwards.

A memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the third stage of the bridge upgrade project has been signed by Transport Minister Mile Janakieski and the chief of staff of KFOR [NATO's force in Kosovo], Brigadier General Rex Spitler.
