The new White House Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller, has recommended that U.S. President Donald Trump put an end to military operations against Iran as reported by The New York Times (NYT) on November 7, citing various sources.
"He [Miller] argued that the president needed to wind down the war with Iran," the article states.
According to the newspaper's sources, Miller expressed this position while advocating for his own appointment as White House Chief of Staff. Meanwhile, some of the U.S. president’s supporters viewed a conflict with Iran as a form of betrayal.
On November 6, the television channel Fox News reported that the U.S. might launch a new phase of military operations against Iran on November 9. According to the report, the American leader held meetings on this subject on Wednesday and Thursday, November 4 and 5.
