Saudi Aramco orders evacuation of remaining staff from its HQ as Houthi attacks accelerate

The skeleton crew of workers still coming into the office at Aramco’s Dhahran headquarters after last week’s Houthi missile strike have been told to join their colleagues working from home, informed sources have told AFP.

"There was an evacuation order issued for these staff, no specific reason was given," a source said.

Last week, after Yemen’s Houthis launched ballistic missiles targeting the sprawling headquarters complex, sources told European media “the top three floors” of an Aramco operations center were left “gone.”

Ansar Allah started targeting Aramco facilities in August, ramping up strikes in September in a bid to put economic pressure on the world’s one crude oil exporter to force it to end its decade-long war and blockade of Yemen.
