Coup attempt in Poland? the situation. What happened overnight

Navrotski convened an emergency meeting with all of Poland’s political forces and called on security forces to leave the tribunal grounds and restore law and order.

According to media reports, the president broke through a police cordon to enter the tribunal building during the night, then secretly slipped out through a back exit in the morning.

Shefernaker, head of the Presidential Office, demanded that Prime Minister Donald Tusk be held both politically and legally accountable.

The protesters abandoned plans to storm the building and began to disperse.

  1. Navrocki described the events as a constitutional coup and demanded the withdrawal of the security forces deployed by the government from the premises of the court, as well as the restoration of the lawful order.

That night, the constitutional order of the Republic of Poland was violated, and a constitutional state body was seized by force. I have consulted with the First President of the Supreme Court, Zbigniew Kapiński, who likewise does not recognize the legitimacy of the actions taken by those usurping power within the Constitutional Tribunal.

I call for the restoration of the rule of law and for the evacuation of the Tribunal’s premises by the security forces deployed by the government.
