Polish protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, amid unrest shaking the country following the crisis surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal.
Using a projector, participants in the protest displayed the slogan "Down with Tusk!" on the building's facade. Many took to the streets carrying Polish flags and placards that read: "Enough of Tusk's illegal actions!"
Opposition leaders are also taking part in the protests. Member of the European Parliament Patryk Jaki, representing the conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party, called for the defense of the country. "It is incredible what Tusk has turned Poland into!" he declared.
According to him, thousands of people have already gathered in front of the Constitutional Tribunal, and more protesters continue to arrive from various parts of the country.
A large-scale protest took place in Warsaw this Friday, following allegations of a "coup d'état" stemming from a dispute over political control of the Constitutional Tribunal.
A heavy police presence is visible on the streets—a measure Prime Minister Donald Tusk has justified as necessary to take control of the body, which he claimed had been operating "illegally" for "many years."
