Ukraine's European choice acknowledged at Riga's Eastern Partnership summit

The Eastern Partnership summit in Riga has acknowledged the European aspirations and the European choice by Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova, according to the joint declaration of the Eastern Partnership summit, held on May 21-22.

Russia Could Suspend Georgia Free Trade Agreement

Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development has drafted a government regulation suspending the agreement between Russia and Georgia on free trade.

The draft has been backed by the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Justice Ministry.

The parliament of Georgia unanimously ratified the association agreement with the European Union on July 18.


The association deal consists of three parts: political cooperation, cooperation in various sectors of economy and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA).

European Union supports key reforms in the Republic of Moldova

European Commission, Press release, Brussels, 29 July 2014:

The European Commission has announced a new annual support package for the Republic of Moldova to help public institutions, citizens and the business community to seize the benefits and opportunities of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with the EU (AA/DCFTA).
