US ambassador calls for ‘years in prison’ for settlers who attacked American photojournalist

 US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has called for the imprisonment of those involved in the Israeli settlers’ attack on a Washington Post photojournalist filming Palestinian olive pickers in Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

American photojournalist Heidi Levine “suffered serious injuries from a vicious and cowardly attack”, Huckabee said in a social media post.

“Those who attacked an unarmed reporter should spend years in prison,” he added.

Huckabee said that the US has called for “a full investigation, arrest, and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law to whoever participated in this”.
