The test launch was conducted without a warhead from a submarine, the media outlet reported, citing the Élysée Palace and the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.
President Emmanuel Macron was present during the test, the agency noted. It also specified that this involves the third version of the M51 strategic ballistic missile, which was adopted a year ago.
The missile landed in the North Atlantic Ocean, several hundred kilometers off the coast.
