Syria strongly condemns the attacks by the Jordanian Air Force on its territory, which were carried out without prior coordination, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
"We consider the incursion of Jordanian aircraft into Syrian airspace to be an unacceptable violation. <...> Furthermore, we assert that there are suspicious actors seeking to undermine the fraternal ties between the two peoples. These forces are working to sow discord, create tensions, and fuel a crisis between brothers," the Foreign Ministry stated.
According to Damascus, the number of civilians killed as a result of the offensives has risen to eight. Meanwhile, Amman reported the deaths of more than 20 militants from the terrorist group Islamic State.
