On September 27, the arrest of five individuals was reported in the vicinity of the British airbase at Fairford, which is used by the U.S. Air Force. Regarding the incident, Donald Trump stated that Washington was investigating the detainees, who, in his words, "intended to cause serious damage" to the airbase.
Initially, they were suspected of violating explosives laws. However, police later clarified that charges of plotting an attack had been added.
British police said on Monday the five men who were detained near the Fairford airbase used by the US to attack Iran were all British nationals who live in London.
The police said that the five men, who were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of terrorism and explosive offenses, were all in their mid-twenties.

Suspects in the RAF Fairford case are set to be released on bail, the head of UK counter-terrorism police said.
