The conflict zone between Iran and the U.S. could expand to the Indian Ocean, stated Rahim Safavi, an advisor to the Persian nation's Supreme Leader.
"Now that the war has spread from the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, our response in the next stage of a potential war could widen this front even further, extending to the Indian Ocean and other regions," the Fars news agency quoted him as saying.
The advisor emphasized that Iranian forces are carefully considering all possible scenarios and have prepared plans for even the worst-case scenario.
