French President Emmanuel Macron announced the deployment of troops, radar, and air defense systems to protect the Yanbu oil export facilities, which were struck by an attack from Yemen.
Macron maintained that the mission is not intended to participate in the conflict, but rather to safeguard the oil complex.
The terminal was exporting more than 5 million barrels per day prior to the attack.
The French leader also did not rule out reinforcing the operation with French Air Force fighter jets.
