TankerTrackers, a maritime tracking service, has said that it has tagged at least 17 crude oil and gas ship-to-ship transfers, which took place on Friday in the Gulf of Oman.
That’s at least 24 million barrels of crude exchanged, the service reported in a post on X, in what it called a “busy day”.
“In addition, we spotted at least 7.25 million barrels, along with two more LNG tankers, assembling to transit the [Strait of Hormuz] into the [Gulf of Oman] under the protection of US CENTCOM,” the service said.
