Kaja Kallas (EU) proposes sanctions against those who organized the Russian elections "in the occupied territories."

 The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, described the Russian State Duma elections as "another serious blow to democracy" and announced that she would propose sanctions against those who facilitated their holding "in the occupied Ukrainian territories."

"The so-called State Duma elections have dealt another severe blow to Russian democracy. The outcome was never in doubt. Only a semblance of democratic processes remains in Russia. I have proposed adopting measures against those who facilitate the holding of these sham elections in the occupied Ukrainian territories."
