A halt to the privatization of the biggest port in Greece may further hit investor confidence in the country in the wake of the election of a leftist-led anti-austerity government, analysts said Wednesday.

La Grèce, toujours sous la pression de grandes difficultés financières procèdent à la privatisation de nombreuses propriétés de l'Etat. Après ses ports, ce sont maintenant les bâtiments historiques qui sont mis en vente.

La Grèce a décidé d’accélérer la vente de ses actifs publics pour tenter de rembourser les dettes qui la frappent. Cette décision tombe sous le coup de la pression de la troïka européenne. Parmi les biens mis en ventes se trouvent les bâtiments de Plaka. Il s’agit de constructions situées dans le centre historique d’Athènes qui entourent l’Acropole. Selon l’Unesco, ces édifices constituent une zone tampon, censée protéger un trésor du patrimoine mondiale. En tout, il s’agit de 19 biens qui avaient été acquis par l’Etat grec à cette intention.

The facility near Florina (MACEDONIA), a town known as “Where Greece Begins,” is the most modern of four production units that state-controlled Public Power Corp. (PPC) is scheduled to sell to competitors to meet four-year-old European Union demands that the country deregulate its energy market.
