Russia says Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles put on combat duty

The head of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos said on Friday that the country’s Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles, which are capable of carrying ten or more nuclear warheads, had been put on combat duty, state news agency RIA reported.

NATO leaders demonstrating political cynicism towards Russia at NATO summit

NATO leaders are demonstrating political cynicism towards Russia at their summit in Warsaw, the chairman of the committee for defense and security in the upper house of Russian parliament, Viktor Ozerov, told on Friday in a commentary on the claim by the Secretary General of the North-Atlantic pact, Jens Stoltenberg, that it continued searching for a constructive dialogue with Russia by building up deterrence and defense.

Japan confirms deployment of anti-missile systems amid DPRK launch fears

The Japanese government confirmed Tuesday it has readied itself for a possible test-firing of a rocket or ballistic missile by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) by deploying both ground and sea-based antimissile interceptors.
