UE: le président moldave veut l'annulation de l'accord d'association

Le nouveau président moldave, le prorusse Igor Dodon, s'est prononcé mardi à Moscou en faveur d'une annulation par son parlement de l'accord commercial conclu avec l'Union européenne en 2014, espérant ainsi rétablir les relations économiques avec la Russie.

Putin praises Armenia’s accession to post-Soviet trade bloc

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday he believed Armenia was ready for joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and expected a positive macroeconomic effect from its accession to the post-Soviet trade bloc.
“We believe Armenia is ready for work in the EEU on an equal footing with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan,” Putin said at a meeting of the Higher Eurasian Council at the level of the heads of state in Minsk. 

Armenia to join EEU soon. The EEU currently groups Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan announced that Armenia will sign a deal to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on Oct. 10 in Minsk, capital of Belarus.

"There is not much time till Oct. 10. I am sure that Armenia will sign the contract, and we will enter the Eurasian united economic space," he told a press conference before the executive meeting of the Republican Party of Armenia on Thursday.

Russian, Belarus, Kazakh leaders discuss steps to prevent illegal food re-exports

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the Kazakh and Belarusian leaders measures to prevent re-export of banned Western food products into Russia, the Kremlin said Wednesday.

"Some aspects of cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed, including coordination to prevent illegal supplies of products from a number of countries banned in line with a recent Russian government directive to Russia through Kazakhstan and Belarus," the Kremlin press office said.

Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan create Eurasian Economic Union

The treaty establishing the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on May 29th, in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The document was signed following the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Russian President Putin had previously announced the establishment of the Union as the "central event of the year." The document was signed by the leaders of three countries participating in the new union - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, ITAR-TASS reports.
