MOSCOW, February 17, 5:23 /ITAR-TASS/. A Russian
group of inspectors is to make an observation flight aboard a Russian
observation plane An-30B over the territory of Greece within a period
from Feb 17 to 21 in implementation of the international Treaty on Open
Skies (TOS), Sergei Ryzhkov, head of the national Nuclear Risk Reduction
Center (NRRC) told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The observation flight will be made from TOS airfield Nea Anchialos to a maximum distance of up to 1,010 km with a view to promoting greater openness and transparency in the military activities of the States that are Parties to the Treaty, as well as to consolidating security through enhancing confidence-building measures, Ryzhkov said.
