US Vice President JD Vance says the war on Iran doomed Republicans in the midterm elections.
“The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night,” Vance said in a lengthy post on X.
Vance added, however, the US-Israeli attack on Iran was “part of” the stunning loss of Congress but the war was still justified.
“Everyone knows why we lost, and any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there,” said Vance, who had reportedly been sceptical about the war President Trump launched in February.
