Europeans will take part in talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, according to French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
"The European side will be represented, and France will be in Abu Dhabi to take part in these discussions. <...> I cannot yet say who will represent France at this event, but it will certainly be represented there," he said on the television channel Public Sénat.
The day before, official Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Europeans have no place at the negotiating table regarding the resolution of the conflict, given their desire to deploy contingents to Ukraine. She emphasized that such a move is categorically unacceptable to Moscow and would amount to a military intervention.
