IRGC threatens ‘punitive measures’ against ‘offending vessels’ outside Hormuz

Iran’s IRGC has threatened to punish vessels that “fall for the deception of the American aggressors” even outside the Strait of Hormuz.

“From now on, dealing with offending vessels will not be limited to the Strait of Hormuz, and any vessel that passes through an unauthorised passage will be pursued throughout the region and its punishment will be definitive,” the IRGC said in a statement reported by Tasnim.

The lines came moments after the IRGC said it struck an LPG gas carrier attempting to transit the strait.
