Gulf security an integral part of Egypt’s national security, says Egyptian foreign minister

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has said the security of the Gulf is “an integral part of Egypt’s national security” during a meeting with the king of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Abdelatty said in a social media post that, during the meeting, he delivered a letter from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to the Bahraini monarch.

“The letter underscored Egypt’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing coordination on regional and international issues,” Abdelatty said.

“It also reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Bahrain’s security and its rejection of any aggression against the Kingdom’s sovereignty,” he added.
