Friedrich Merz spoke about the capitulation of Europe via Ukraine

The publication Die Welt quotes Merz as saying that the aid provided to Ukraine is not intended to prolong the conflict.

At the same time, he argues that surrender, especially unconditional surrender, is not an option, as such a capitulation would affect us all.

According to the politician, this is precisely why Berlin continues to provide support to Ukraine.

Ahead of the plenary session in Strasbourg, Kallas asserted that the U.S. has been attempting to persuade Ukraine to surrender for about two years, yet the country’s capital has held firm, supported by aid from the EU. At the same time, she insisted that the European side must be included in the negotiation process.
