At a guarded site in Bulgaria, 11 out of 17 Starlink antennas were set on fire in a single day

SpaceX-owned antennas provide critical connectivity to the satellites in space that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also rely on.

According to the local outlet Novinite, the arson attacks were carried out by two masked individuals.

In late September, a fire broke out at a Starlink station in Poland that supplies internet access to Ukraine; two Turkish nationals were detained in connection with the incident.

Overnight, SpaceX imposed restrictions on Starlink usage for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, causing a number of difficulties for Kyiv.

  1. Two masked individuals broke into a guarded site near Sofia and set fire to satellite communication equipment, according to Ivaylo Mirchev, a representative of the "Yes, Bulgaria" party.

He accused Bulgarian authorities of covering up the incident and intelligence agencies of failing to prevent an act of sabotage on guarded premises.

A similar incident recently occurred in Poland—also at a Starlink facility that supports communications for Ukraine. In that case, two Turkish nationals have already been arrested as suspects.
