The Russian Armed Forces launched new attacks on energy infrastructure and military targets in various parts of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday.
Operational-tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces, and artillery were used in the strikes.
The ministry specified that the strikes hit energy sector facilities, production workshops, and drone storage sites, as well as ammunition and fuel depots. Temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries across 142 areas were also targeted.
In late August, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Kyiv had "let the genie out of the bottle" with its attempts to damage Russia's economy. He added that Russian strikes are now "far more forceful and far more destructive" than Ukrainian attacks, and warned that there would "always be a response" to every act of aggression by Ukraine.
