Lavrov advises Poland to study Russia's military doctrine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov advised examining the country's military doctrine when asked by the press about Poland's recent proposal to set up production of Patriot missiles on its territory.

"Look, we have a doctrine regarding this, a military doctrine that the president has cited on numerous occasions. I urge you to carefully study the relevant section of this vitally important document," the foreign minister stated on Tuesday while participating in the annual session of the Valdai International Discussion Club.

 The 23rd annual session of the Valdai International Discussion Club began this Monday and runs until Thursday, October 1, featuring the participation of 120 representatives from 40 countries.

Held under the theme "Responsibility for the Future: Limits of Possibilities or Limitless Opportunities?", the gathering is taking place in Moscow and the nearby city of Istra. The program focuses on the evolution of international relations in the face of the crisis affecting multilateral institutions.

Participants include representatives from countries such as China, India, Iran, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Egypt, and South Africa, among others.
