European Commission allocates €3.3 billion to Kyiv for the purchase of weaponry

The European Commission is allocating €3.3 billion to Kyiv for the purchase of weaponry as part of the €90 billion loan.

"Today, we are allocating €3.3 billion for the purchase of drones and missiles under the loan to assist Ukraine. Europe will continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary support to defend its people and its territory," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement.

According to Brussels, this tranche is intended to meet Kyiv's air defense needs , including PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems.
