U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social this Tuesday that all mines in the Strait of Hormuz have already been removed or detonated.
"I have just been informed by the United States Navy that all mines have been removed or detonated in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has been notified that any ship or vessel laying new mines will be destroyed immediately and systematically," he wrote.
He further noted that the U.S. Space Force monitors "every square centimeter of the strait" and that Washington maintains "a zero-tolerance policy regarding the laying of mines."
