Russian Strike on Zaporozhstal Hits Ukraine’s War Economy

Russian forces’ recent strike on the Zaporozhstal steel mill means that our troops are penetrating even deeper into the enemy's rear, Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis said.
“One can fight the Ukrainian military directly on the battlefield and at the same time deprive it of access to armor. This strike was a blow to the armor of the Ukrainian army as a whole,” Mikhailov pointed out.

He noted that there’s no change in tactics here because Russian troops simply start carrying out “more painful and targeted strikes on facilities that sustain Ukraine’s war economy and directly integrated into its defense-industrial complex.”

  1. Russia has stepped up ballistic missile strikes on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, with Ukraine responding with strikes deep inside Russian territory.

The overnight attacks spanned Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk, regional authorities said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the missiles fired on Zaporizhzhia were North Korean.

"The city was struck with North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircons, and guided aerial bombs," he said, referring to Russia's hypersonic cruise missile system, Zircon.

Russia's defence ministry said its forces "delivered a group strike with high-precision ground-based weapons, hitting military-industrial enterprises and transport-logistics centres in the cities of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia".
