Iran’s central military command has officially declared the Strait of Hormuz closed to all maritime traffic, citing US and Israeli violations of a memorandum of understating between Tehran and Washington.
In a formal statement on Saturday, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said the closure comes in response to “the explicit breach of the first clause of the post-war memorandum of understanding by the United States” and “the Zionist regime's continuous and ongoing violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.”

Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report from Tasnim News Agency on Saturday. This development comes after the country suspended talks with the US to reach a peace deal after Israel launched strikes at Lebanon.
ReplyDeleteIran's joint military command said it has closed the Strait of Hormuz for shipping transit due to what it said was a violation of the ceasefire by Israel, as per the semi-official Tasnim news agency reports cited by Bloomberg.
The closure is Iran's first step in response to Israel's continued attacks in southern Lebanon, the report stated.
The Iran delegation has travelled to Switzerland for US talks according to state TV.

ReplyDeleteSuite à la violation flagrante de la foi des États-Unis et à la violation de ses engagements concernant la non-mise en œuvre de la clause 1 du mémorandum d'accord sur la fin de la guerre, et en réponse aux violations continues du cessez-le-feu par le régime israélien dans le sud du Liban, et à l'échec des forces d'occupation israéliennes à se retirer des territoires du sud du Liban, il est déclaré ici que le détroit sera fermé au passage des navires.
Il est a rappelé que cette première étape est une réponse à la rupture u pacte par l'ennemi et que si l'agression continue, les étapes suivantes seront planifiées et mises en œuvre pour contraindre l'ennemi à respecter ses engagements.

ReplyDeleteSegún un comunicado del organismo militar, esta jornada transitaron por la vía marítima internacional 55 buques mercantes que transportaron grandes volúmenes de carga y más de 17 millones de barriles de petróleo hacia los mercados globales.
"El paso seguro a través de la vía navegable internacional permaneció intacto hoy", se lee en el texto.
El CENTCOM añadió que sus fuerzas se mantienen presentes y vigilantes para garantizar que todas las disposiciones del acuerdo con Teherán se cumplan plenamente.
Horas antes, el Comando Central de las Fuerzas Armadas de Irán anunció el cierre de la vía marítima al tránsito de buques, en respuesta a lo que calificó como un incumplimiento "claro" por parte de Washington del primer punto del memorando para poner fin a la guerra.
