Trump yet to say why he rejected Iran’s response

Trump has rejected outright Iran’s latest proposal for ending the war.

The Iranians want an end to the naval blockade, an end to the sanctions that the US and international organisations have imposed on them, and they want to retain control of their nuclear ambitions and their foreign policy – all issues which Washington had cited for launching this war.

Trump hasn’t said specifically why he rejected the deal. It seems every issue the Iranians have raised touches a point that the US doesn’t want to yield on.
