Trump has said he “doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situation” when it comes to his war on Iran, as preventing Tehran from having nuclear weapons takes precedence.
When asked by a reporter to what extent the economic situation in the US, where inflation is rising, was motivating him to make a deal with Tehran, he responded: “Not even a little bit.”
“The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran: They can’t have a nuclear weapon,” he said.
