He says the US is “very far ahead of schedule", adding Iran has “no navy, no communications, they've got no air force,” and claims their missiles are “down to a scatter”.

The conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, was centered around Iran and the Ukrainian peace process, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.

“The accent was placed on the situation surrounding the conflict with Iran and the bilateral negotiations underway with the representatives of the United States on settling the Ukrainian question,” Putin’s diplomatic advisor Yuri Ushakov was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies.
Ushakov said Putin “expressed several thoughts aimed at a quick political and diplomatic end to the Iranian conflict, including contacts that have taken place with leaders of Gulf states, the president of Iran and leaders of other countries”.
He also said the two presidents discussed the situation in Venezuela in the context of global oil markets.
