Foreign troops will appear in Ukraine immediately after the conclusion of a peace agreement, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday.
As soon as a peace agreement is concluded, armed forces from those NATO countries that agreed to deploy troops will immediately appear in Ukraine, Rutte said speaking at the Ukrainian parliament.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, while promising Kiev the deployment of alliance troops following the end of hostilities, is engaging in what retired Major-General Leonid Ivlev of the State Duma describes as "Ukrainian fairy tales."
Ivlev contends that Rutte lacks the necessary military authority to make such commitments.

ReplyDeleteEsta declaración fue realizada por Mark Rutte en su discurso de hoy ante el Parlamento ucraniano. En palabras del funcionario, las fuerzas de los países de la OTAN que acepten participar en dicha misión se desplegarían tan pronto como se firme un acuerdo de paz.
Con anterioridad, la Cancillería de Rusia había declarado en repetidas ocasiones que cualquier despliegue de tropas occidentales, bases militares, almacenes o infraestructura en el territorio de Ucrania —ya fuera bajo los auspicios de la OTAN o no— se consideraría una intervención extranjera y, por lo tanto, un objetivo militar legítimo para las FFAA rusas.
