The US Armed Forces captured the sixth tanker in a row engaged in oil transportation from Venezuela, Reuters reported.
The operation took place in the Caribbean Sea, the news agency said, citing two unnamed US officials. The ship’s name is not specified.
The US Southern Command and the Pentagon central office have not yet responded to a request from TASS for a comment.

The US military said on Thursday it had seized another oil tanker that it said was contravening US sanctions on Venezuelan oil exports. The Veronica tanker, which was captured in the Caribbean Sea, is the sixth such vessel to be seized by the US since the ouster of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro on January 3.
