The US is unhappy with both Iran and Israel in light of the ceasefire violations, President Donald Trump said ahead of his departure for NATO summit in The Hague.
"Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before. The biggest load that we’ve seen. I’m not happy with Israel," he said. "I’m not happy with Iran either," the US leader added.
According to Trump, Iran and Israel had been fighting "so long and so hard that they don’t know what <…> they’re doing," he said, commenting on the situation with a swear word.
The US head of state also said that, as a result of the shelling, "Iran’s nuclear capacities are gone."
Donald Trump has warned Israel against launching further attacks on Iran, hours after he said a ceasefire between the two sides had taken effect.

Israeli fighter jets have delivered a strike on a radar station north of Tehran, the Kan state-run broadcasting company reported.
ReplyDeleteThe strike was delivered in response to a missile launch toward Israel this morning, which the Israeli side considered to be a violation of the ceasefire. According to Kan, the target in Iran had a symbolic character.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Tuesday morning that Iran had attacked Israel shortly after a ceasefire between Israel and Iran came into effect. Following the attack, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz accused Tehran of violating the ceasefire and said that he had ordered the Israeli military to strike back on the Iranian capital city. Israeli Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir, in turn, said after an operational meeting that Israel would retaliate on Iran.
Two hours after Israel said it had agreed to the truce, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had identified missiles launched from Iran.
ReplyDeleteKatz accused Iran of a "complete violation" of the terms, adding that he had instructed the military to "continue the intense activity of attacking Tehran to thwart regime targets and terrorist infrastructures".
The Iranian military denied it had fired missiles after the ceasefire had taken effect.

Trump also said he was not happy with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for "going out there" in response to Iranian attacks.
"I am going to see if I can stop it," he added as he walked away from reporters.
