Iran launched a missile attack on targets throughout Israel, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) said in a statement.
"On Monday morning, the IRGC struck various targets in the occupied territories with several missiles in the 21st wave of its missile operation. Solid-fueled missiles, liquid-fueled warheads, and kamikaze drones were used in this combined strike," the Mehr news agency quoted the Iranian military as saying. "In the course of this attack, the IRGC changed the tactics of shelling Tel Aviv and Haifa and attacked numerous targets from north to south in the occupied territories," the statement said.
According to the statement, initial reports indicate that "the north of Haifa, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Acre and Ashdod were hit by Iranian missiles. In addition, "a large number of missiles hit Safed, Lachish, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Beit She'an."
The statement said that Iran's strike this morning was the longest since the start of the armed conflict and "caused fear and panic" in Israel. According to the Fars news agency, Iran used Kheibar Shekan, Emad, Qadr and Fattah-1 ballistic missiles in its attack on Israel.
