Over 70 killed in Syria clashes between govt forces, al-Assad loyalists

More than 70 people were killed and dozens more wounded in Syria in fighting between government security forces and militants loyal to deposed ruler Bashar al-Assad, a war monitor said Friday.

“For more than 70 killed and dozens wounded and captured in bloody clashes and ambushes on the Syrian coast between members of the Ministry of Defense and Interior and militants from the defunct regime’s army,” the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a post on X.

  1. The domestic security authority in Syria’s Latakia province has imposed a curfew until 10:00 a.m. local time (7:00 a.m. GMT) Friday amid clashes between law enforcement units and supporters of the country’s former President Bashar Assad, the state-run SANA news agency reported.

    The Syrian armed forces, controlled by the transitional government, have sent reinforcements from the capital Damascus to Latakia amid the unrest, the Al Hadath television reported.

    Σε ένα άλλο βίντεο, άντρες με στρατιωτική περιβολή μοιάζουν να διατάζουν τρία άτομα να προχωρήσουν ο ένας πίσω από τον άλλο προτού τους πυροβολήσουν εξ επαφής.
