Ukraine airforce says downed two Russian command aircraft, Kremlin has no information about it

Ukraine said on Monday it had downed two Russian military command aircraft over the Azov Sea, saying it had carried out a “successful” mission against Moscow’s forces.

The Kremlin has no information about the downing of Russian planes by the Ukrainian armed forces, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Commenting on Kiev's claims about the alleged downing of the Russian A-50 and Il-22 aircraft, the spokesman said: "No, there is no such information."

"Besides, after all, this is an issue that concerns the course of the special military operation," he added, recommending that this information be clarified with the Russian Defense Ministry.
