Russia’s air defense systems destroyed 33 Ukraine-launched drones over several Russian regions, the Russian defense ministry said on Sunday.
The drones were intercepted or destroyed before they reached their targets over the Lipetsk, Rostov and Volgograd regions, the ministry said on the Telegram messaging app, without providing further details.
"Tonight, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by fixed-wing drones on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. Air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 33 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Lipetsk, Rostov, and Volgograd Regions," the ministry reported.
