Russia requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council due to Kyiv's strikes on Donetsk

Russia has requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with Kyiv’s strikes on Donetsk at 23.00 Moscow time on Wednesday, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, said in his Telegram channel.
“We have requested an urgent open meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with today’s attacks by the Kyiv regime on Donetsk,” Polyansky said.

“We expect that it will be scheduled for 23.00 Moscow time on November 8,” he added.

The number of casualties among civilians as a result of Ukraine’s shelling attack on downtown Donetsk has increased to more than 20, the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) for issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes said on Tuesday.

    "As of 8:30 p.m. Moscow time (5:30 p.m. GMT), according to preliminary information, the number of casualties exceeded 20," it wrote on its Telegram channel.

    According to the mission, Ukrainian troops shelled Donetsk from HIMARS multiple rocket launchers three times on Tuesday evening.

  2. Постоянное представительство России при ООН запросило у Совета Безопасности (СБ) всемирной организации срочное заседание в связи с сегодняшними обстрелами Украины по Донецку. Об этом сообщил первый заместитель постпредства России при организации Дмитрий Полянский.

    Запрос был сделан на фоне участившихся обстрелов Донецка со стороны ВСУ: сегодня вечером по центру города был открыт огонь из РСЗО HIMARS. По предварительным данным, жертвами обстрела стало 20 человек, повреждения получили четыре объекта гражданской инфраструктуры.
