Armed Forces of Ukraine under the guise of a grain deal have accumulated significant capacity in the ports

Russia considers the infrastructure of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea as a place of deployment and replenishment of the capacities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on July 21 by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the World Organization.
“We are forced to state that during the year of the deal, the Kiev regime has accumulated, under its cover, significant military-industrial, fuel and storage capacities in the areas of its Black Sea ports,” he stressed at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday dedicated to the grain deal.

According to him, significant human resources of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries were also stationed there.

Polyansky noted that the termination of Russia's participation in the Black Sea initiative would help change this situation.

The diplomat also warned that Russia has recalled security guarantees for ships heading to Ukrainian ports. "Now, all vessels sailing across the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports are considered as potential shippers of military cargoes. Hence, the flag countries of such ships will be viewed as parties to the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Kiev regime," he added.

Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin explained the decision of the Ministry of Defense to consider all ships in the Black Sea to Ukrainian ports as potential carriers of military cargo. According to him, if necessary, an inspection of the vessel will be carried out to make sure that it is not used to transport weapons.

In response, the head of the foreign policy service of the European Union (EU), Josep Borrell, said that the organization would increase its military support to Ukraine.

At the same time, British Permanent Representative to the UN Barbara Woodward pointed out that the United Kingdom does not want the entire Black Sea to turn into a war zone.
