Zelensky, Scholz discuss bolstering Ukraine's defense support, global food security in telephone call

(Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense support, food security, and integration with the European Union in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

"Had a phone conversation with Olaf Scholz. Discussed enhancing defense support for Ukraine and ensuring global food security. Raised the issue of [the Russian Federation] RF's compliance with international rules of treatment of war prisoners. Stressed the importance of decisions on the integration of Ukraine in EU," Zelensky wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
