The commercial plane was scheduled to arrive at Sana'a International Airport on Sunday morning, rekindling hopes that the war-torn country could restore normal operations.
As part of the UN-brokered ceasefire that went into force earlier this year, the jet flown by Yemenia was scheduled to transport individuals in need of medical treatment from Sana'a to Amman, Jordan's capital city.
