Premier Says Iraq Played 'Pivotal Role' in Elimination of Daesh Leader | Farsnews Agency

(FNA)- Iraq has played a “pivotal role” in operations to destroy Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) and their efforts eventually led to the elimination of the terror group’s leader, the country’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi said on Friday.

 “Iraq’s Security Forces have played a pivotal role in killing and capturing Daesh terrorists inside Iraq and gathering intelligence that finally led to the head of this terrorist organization,” Al-Kadhimi said on Twitter, Anadolu news agency reported.
