Syrian media reports Israeli airstrike near Damascus airport

More than a week after reports of an Israeli strike on a weapons-envoy in Syria, media outlets associated with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad reported Wednesday night of another Israeli airstrike in the country.


According to reports, Israeli aircraft carried out the strike adjacent to the Damascus airport.

 Yet it remained unclear whether the target of the attack was a weapons-envoy, or an alternate target, such as an Iran-backed terror cell operating against Israel.
