Las ciudades donde se detiene la asistencia humanitaria a la población son Zabadani, Madaya, Fua y Kefraya.
En la oficina del enviado especial subrayaron que el grupo que tenía previsto realizar la ayuda humanitaria estaba listo para comenzar su labor, pero no ha podido hacerlo.
"La ONU exhorta a todos los participantes a cumplir las obligaciones en cuestiones de defensa de civiles, así como lograr el entendimiento imprescindible para cumplir el acuerdo (de cese del fuego) lo más pronto posible", revela el documento.
Anteriormente en las cuatro ciudades fueron alcanzados varios acuerdos de tregua que permitieron distribuir la ayuda humanitaria a la población local.
Zabadani y Madaya se encuentran cerca de la capital siria, Damasco, mientras Fua y Kefraya pertenecen a la provincia de Idlib.
Durante los últimos cuatro años Siria ha sido escenario de una guerra fratricida en la que han muerto más de 220.000 personas, según datos de la ONU.

ReplyDeleteAid activities, including evacuations of wounded, had been planned in Zabadani, a town surrounded by pro-government forces near the Lebanon border, and in rebel-besieged Shiite villages in the northwestern province of Idlib (Foua and Kefraya) in the deal agreed with U.N. help and backed by Iran and Turkey.
"The U.N. calls on all concerned parties to fulfill their responsibilities in the protection of civilians and reach the necessary understandings in order to implement this agreement as soon as possible," de Mistura's office said in a statement that made no explicit reference to Russia bombing Syria for a third day.
