The conclusions and assessments of the recent UN report on the situation of human rights in Ukraine are biased, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s information department said in a statement Wednesday.
The eleventh report by the UN mission on human rights in Ukraine, covering the period of May 16 through August 15, 2015, was published on September 8.
“Unfortunately, not all of the judgments by UN experts can be called objective. Questions also arise on the sources of information on which the report was compiled. We note blatant bias and groundlessness in a range of conclusions and assessments,” the statement reads.
In April 2014, Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed people's republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. So far, according to the latest UN data, over 6.8 thousand have died during the conflict.
