Egypt Summons Turkish Diplomat over Erdogan Comments. (Slammed Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as an illegitimate tyrant)

Egypt has summoned the Turkish charge d'affaires over comments by Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan that insulted the Egyptian president.

Egypt's Foreign Ministry warned Saturday the prime minister's words could limit bilateral relations.

Erdogan said in an interview with broadcaster CNN that Egypt's president, former army chief Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi was a "tyrant.'' He also accused Egypt's leaders of an insincere approach to the Gaza crisis.
Relations between Egypt and Turkey have strained since the Egyptian army ousted the governing Muslim Brotherhood last year.
